The Warrenton Tournament is hosted by Warrenton High School in Warrenton, Missouri, west of the St. Louis Metro Area, and annually draws many schools from central and eastern Missouri. In recent years, the tournament has been plagued by badly written or excessively obscure questions. Notably, in 2009, Jeremy Gibbs complained at the lack of literature questions in the tournament set, a complaint to which question provider Bob Brown had no answer. [1]
Furthermore, for the past two years, the tournament has been scheduled against the NAQT Missouri Qualifier. Its conflict with the 2009 Qualifier was revealed only a week before that tournament, to the ire of the Missouri S&T team hosting the Qualifier and many of the denizens of the Missouri Academic Competition Message Board.
