Naperville Central is a school located in the far western suburbs of Chicago. They compete in the DuPage Valley Conference and IHSA State Tournament and occasional invitationals as well. The team finished 2nd in the Class AA, or Large School Division, of the IHSA Tournament in 2000. Naperville Central also hosted a house-written tournament on January 10, 2009 that was won by Wheaton Warrenville South. For many years, the team was coached by Sherry Yarema, who sometimes caused a stir at IHSA Seeding Meetings by showing up with very few matches played and demanding a very high seed.
One former player from this school is Alejandro Lopez-Lago, who developed a quizbowl bot that was used on the Quizbowl IRC channel. This team also featured a strong player named Krystle Leung who graduated in 2011.
