The 2008 Snow Carleton Academic Tournament (SnowCAT) was a high school quizbowl tournament run on NAQT IS-72 at Carleton College and was directed by Eric Hillemann. The tournament took place on January 19. It was the fifth edition of Carleton's annual SnowCAT.
Format
SnowCAT was run on the normal NAQT format with 34 teams playing. The playoffs consisted of the top 16 teams playing single elimination games with seeding based on preliminary round records.
Results
Eden Prairie A defeated Chaska A in the finals to take first place, and Minnetonka A defeated Wayzata B in the consolation match. The top scorer at the tournament was Sam Peterson of Chaska, and more extensive stats can be found here
