I am a [[Princeton University]] graduate student in mathematics, and I have staffed numerous quiz bowl tournaments including the 2013 New Jersey State Championship of the National History Bee and Bowl, the 2012 NAQT [[HSNCT]], the [[IHSA]] Regional and Sectional Scholastic Bowl competitions, the [[New Trier varsity]] tournaments, the IHSSBCA Kickoff and Turnabout tournaments, Vanderbilt ABC, [[Scobol Solo]], and several others. As a player, I played for [[Vanderbilt]] from 2008 to 2012, and before that I was a player for [[Wheaton North]] (2004–08). I was a member of [[Team Illinois]] at the [[Panasonic Academic Challenge]] in 2006, 2007, and 2008; I was named to the All-America Team in 2007 and 2008. As a member of the Wheaton North team, I played at NAQT HSNCT in 2005 and 2007 and at PACE NSC in 2008. I also am interested in programming, and have two quiz bowl-related programming projects: [[JAGUARS]] (a quiz bowl reading/scoring/lockout program, with a public alpha version) and [[OLMEC]] (an online tournament data-entry, statkeeping, and management program: design notes have been sketched but no code has been written). To facilitate those projects, I am also working on computer- and human-readable markup languages for packets, scoresheets, and quiz bowl formats.
