History
Pikeville has competed in the KAAC Governor's Cup every year it has been held, winning the inaugural overall championship in 1986. The team has focused on this event throughout most of its history. Although a team did apparently attend the 2004 PACE NSC, the most marked exception to this trend to date is most likely the 2012-13 school year, during which the duo of Alex Malone and Ammad Mansoor, complemented by Iman and Noor Ali, went undefeated to win that year's Hilltopper and defeated St. Xavier by one question to win the KAAC state quick recall championship on vaguely pyramidal questions. This team will also compete at the 2013 NSC; results forthcoming.
