Northern Illinois University (NIU) is the home of the Quiz Bowl Association and the Huskie Bowl and ATROPHY Tournaments. The club typically has low membership, and exists almost solely to run tournaments. Brad Fischer and Kristin Strey are noted members.
The school has hosted other tournaments, including High School-Only mirrors of ACF Fall in 2012 and 2013 since the IHSA has determined that Illinois high school teams are not allowed to compete against college teams. The inaugural tournament attracted eight teams and was won by Detroit Catholic Central.
