The 2000 State College team became the first team to unify the PACE NSC and NAQT HSNCT titles, defeating Eisenhower and Maggie Walker in the finals of those two tournaments.

The NSC championship team consisted of Martin Devecka, Jacob Mikanowski, Madhury Ray, and Nicole Szacon. The NAQT team was Devecka, Mikanowski, Ray, Susannah Burrows, and Niyum Gandhi.

The team also won several tournaments during the regular season, despite a strong rivalry with Eleanor Roosevelt at most Mid-Atlantic events that sometimes relegated them to second or third place. Notable victories included the Yale tournament, the Great Lakes Regional Academic Championship at Case Western, and a collegiate tournament, the 1999 Nittany Lion Invitational at Penn State.

Trivia

State College's seniors (Mikanowski and Ray) missed their graduation in order to attend NAQT.
