The 2010 Copley Invitational was originally supposed to be held on February 27. However, due to the threat of severe snowstorms heading through the Akron area, it was postponed to March 20th.
Postponement
Originally, the Copley Invitational was slated to be held on February 27th. No other tournaments are usually held on the same date, since most teams attend the Copley event annually. However, due to the threat of severe snowstorms moving through the Akron area, the event was postponed until a later date, which was March 20th.
The postponement caused some teams to withdraw from the tournament, including teams that are members of the Mahoning County Quizbowl League, whose tournament is on the same date. Also, since OAC Regional Applications were to be due on March 19th, the OAC Executive Committee will accept others that are late due to the rescheduling.
