In the 2016 - 2017 season, the Middle School team only had [[User:Shiva Oswal|Shiva Oswal]] and Bilal Ron, winning the Northern California State Championships, and garnering 8th place (again) in the [[2017 MSNCT]]. Meanwhile, high school players Josh Rollin and Dalton Manbeck-Mosig went to the [[2017 HSNCT]] and the 2017 PACE NSC, where they finished 208th and 87th respectively.

Meanwhile, high school players Josh Rollin and Dalton Manbeck-Mosig went to the 2017 HSNCT and the 2017 PACE NSC, where they finished 208th and 87th respectively.

The 2017 - 2018 season saw 8th grader Shiva Oswal post 187 pgg in a Middle School Tournament (playing solo), after lit expert Bilal Ron decided to quit homeschooling and go to Gunderson HS.

Notes

Team Pi-oneers is known for a strong local rivalry with Challenger-Ardenwood and a national rivalry with Midtown Classical.
