Central High School is a high school in Wise, Virginia, home of the University of Virginia's College at Wise-- Virginia's only 4-year public institution west of Montgomery County.
Central competes in the VHSL and SWATA circuits and defeated Maggie Walker to become the 2016 VHSL Class 2A champion. Central attended the 2016 NSC, where they finished 76th.
The following year, they finished the 2017 VHSL season as Class 2A State Runner-Up (to MWGS), Region 2A West Champion, and Conference Tournament Champions, despite having a multi-year undefeated conference streak broken by Gate City, their cross-conference/district rivals and 2017 Conference Season Champions.
