The Windsor Schoolreach League is a qualifying league for Reach for the Top in Ontario. It features schools from both the Greater Essex County District School Board and the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board. The league runs from February to April and features 8 schools.
The 2009 Season began on February 10th and ended on April 6th with Vincent Massey winning its 8th straight Windsor title with a 830-370 rout of St. Joseph's, in a rematch of the 2008 final which was won by Massey.
The Windsor Schoolreach League is run by coaches Chris Lanspeary of Holy Names and Bernie Howes of St. Joseph's.
League Format
In the League, each team faces each other two times, playing back to back packs in the same day. On most occasions, the top 4 teams with the best total record after round robin advance to the semi-finals with the winners advancing to the finals, but in recent years, the top two teams have faced off in a two-pack total score match to determine the league champion.
