Cave Spring High School is a small public high school located in Roanoke, Virginia. In 2002, Hidden Valley High School split off from Cave Spring High School when the population was greater than the building could handle. The academic team at the school was founded in 2005 by Bob Powers. They tied for 33rd at the 2012 HSNCT, 58th at the 2009 HSNCT, and 21st at the 2007 HSNCT and 2016 HSNCT. Cave Spring won the 2012 NAQT Virginia State Championship. They also host the annual Cave Spring Invitational (CSI) in the winter and the NCIS in the spring for local high schools. They also host an open tournament called the Roanoke Classic in the spring as well.
