West Point High School is a "Small" school located in Cullman County, AL.
West Point High School's Scholar's Bowl Team began competing outside of their local county league in the Fall of 2012, when former Brindlee Mountain and Columbia High School coach Lee Henry became coach.
West Point remained undefeated at Cullman County Scholar Bowl for seven years running as of 2018.
The team was awarded the class 5A state championship honors in both 2016 and 2017 at the ASCA High School State Championship.
Recent History
In their first year of playing true Quiz Bowl, West Point High School went undefeated at the Cullman County Scholar Bowl Championship and at the ASCA District Tournament. They also qualified for the ASCA High School State Championship for the first time in the school's history. Unfortunately, team MVP Ricky Arendall fell ill the morning of the State Championship Tournament and was unable to attend. West Point went 0-5 at the event.
