Ridgefield is a Connecticut high school whose peak in Academic Challenge was a 1995 run to the quarterfinals of the Texaco Star Academic Challenge, where they were outclassed by eventual champion Irvington High School, 295-290, in one of the most exciting televised matches of the Texaco Star Academic Challenge ever, losing on the final question as time expired.
