The last Airing of Grievances was in 2013. The idea during its peak period was that it was more of a "comedy roast" in which the insults were good-natured and designed to be funny. In 2012 it was pretty much killed by a random high schooler who showed up to complain about people who rode the bus with him that he found annoying and Andy Watkins who delivered an endless, deadly serious monologue about his enemies, full of threats to physically harm specific people. The first IRC Festivus was in 2002 and it has been held every year without gaps since then.
After one more attempt at getting it back on course pretty much everyone agreed that it was best left in the past. Matt Weiner (talk) 19:59, 20 December 2020 (CST)
