The Academy for Gifted Children is a private institution in Richmond Hill, ON. It is commonly known as P.A.C.E., after its accelerated learning system "Programming for Academic and Creative Excellence." A Reach for the Top team was established in 2007.
At the 2007 Ontario Reach provincials, P.A.C.E. made a surprise debut by taking the second seed going in to the playoffs. They ultimately finished in the semifinals, losing to Gloucester.
The 2007 team was captained by Jeffrey Baer. Baer later appeared on the Jeopardy! Teen Summer Games tournament as the sole Canadian (other than Alex Trebek); he finished as a semifinalist. Baer currently plays at the University of Waterloo.
