Trevor, Alec, Clay Davenport and Katie McMahan led Johnson Central to a series of strong performances in the 2013 season at the Ezell-Harding Academic Tournament, Louisville Arts & Sciences Academic Challenge, the Hart County Invitational Tournament and the Fleming County Academic Tournament, as well as at the 2014 KAAC State Finals.

During the 2014-15 season, Trevor competed for Piarist, but left the school in March 2015, returning to Johnson Central for his Senior year.

Competing independently, Trevor teamed with Tyler Ratliff in the 2015 Kentucky State Championships of the National History Bowl as "The Alliance to End Anti-Federalism", being the eventual State Runners-Up and paying homage to not only the similarly named WCW stable "The Alliance to End Hulkamania", but also the undying spirit of John Jay.

Along with being the 2014 Eastern Kentucky History Bee JV Champion, Trevor was also the 2015 Runner-Up of the Kentucky State Championships of the National History Bee, and Champion of the 2016 Eastern Kentucky History Bee.
