Joseph Hansen attended the University of Minnesota for one year. He tried to patch together a quizbowl team at "Roosevelt" for two years in high school, but his inability to really recruit anyone consistently led to him occasionally having to borrow teammates from some people.
He knows Japanese stuff pretty well. He occasionally comes out of the woodwork to play at tournaments with Minnesota squads or at open events.
He attempted to write Mizzou Open Asian Lit with Auroni Gupta.
