Music mafia is a usually-jokey name for music specialists, particularly when they post detailed critiques of erroneous music questions in tournament discussions [1] [2] or use other threads to talk about concert music [3], to the annoyance of other people. The term can also be used more generally to refer to anyone who talks about music for any reason and/or unfairly disparage people who are giving useful critiques of factual errors by lumping their comments in with frivolous showoffy behavior.
