Richard Montgomery is a frequent participant in the DMV circuit, and also competes on It's Academic and in the Montgomery Academic Beltway League. In addition to its two National championships, RM finished tied for third at PACE NSC in 2004, sixth at NAQT HSNCT in 2005, second at PACE NSC in 2006, and tied for fifth at NAQT HSNCT in 2007.

Richard Montgomery High School, often referred to as RM, is a public high school located in Rockville, Maryland. It is notable for its two national championships (PACE in 2002 and NAQT in 2006), and for its International Baccalaureate Magnet Program, which draws from Montgomery County, Maryland.
