Johnson Central High School is located in Paintsville, Kentucky. It notably won the 2009 NTAE, which turned out to be the last incarnation of the tournament known as PAC.
As of the 2014-2015 season, the team is head coached by Brenda Porter and assistant coached by 2008 alum Shawn Butcher.
History
Johnson Central is traditionally a KAAC Academic Team. The first instance of Johnson Central competing at KAAC State is believed to be 1994, and has since amassed several Top 3 finishes in Quick Recall (including the 2009 Quick Recall State Championship) and numerous second place finishes in Overall competition, although an overall state championship still eludes them.
