Springfield High School is a public high school located in the capital of Illinois. They have consistently been among the top ten to twenty teams in Illinois. They host the Springfield Invitational. They finished 4th at the 2008 IHSA State Championship Tournament, 2nd at the 2022 IHSA State Championship Tournament, and have played at HSNCT multiple times.
Their best player was Jackson Myers (class of 2014), and some of their good players who preceded him are Carl Butt, Caitie Flynn, and Johnny Smith. They were coached by Dave Adkins for several years, who is currently in the IHSSBCA Hall of Fame. After Adkins's retirement in 2015, Springfield was coached by Christine Craddock for a few years. Deb Eaton took over the program in 2019.
