Morton High School is located near Peoria and has historically been one of the better teams in the region. The Potters compete in the Mid-Illini athletic conference and Peoria Area League. They were coached for many years by William Beaird, who retired around 2005. Their best team probably was in 2005, when their top players were the Smillie brothers.
Morton High School should not be confused with the combined teams of Morton East and Morton West in the Chicago suburbs.
