The first British Novice tournament was held in 2017 at Imperial College London. Subsequent iterations saw the tournament being run simultaneously at Imperial and the University of Glasgow. Questions are typically house-written by the UK quizbowl community, but the 2022 tournament experimented with using a Briticised NAQT Collegiate Novice instead.
