Edmund Dickinson was a quizbowl player for Oxford. He was the president of the Oxford University Quiz Society from March 2008 to March 2009. He captained the Oxford team at the 2010 ICT in Chicago, Illinois, and at the 2011 ICT. He was also the tournament director and chief Briticiser for ACF Fall 2010 at Oxford.

Edmund was, between 2012 and 2020, the head editor for BSQC, and the main figure behind BuzzerQuiz, the predecessor body of UKQB. In this role, Edmund was one of the key individuals in the growth of the UK quizbowl circuit in this decade.

For his efforts in establishing Quizbowl in the United Kingdom on a firmer footing for many years, Edmund was one of the two individuals awarded the 2023 Carper Award.
