Britney Castleman hails from the small town of Napanee, Ontario and began playing Reach for the Top in Grade 10, as well as Whiz Quiz. She joined the UOttawa trivia club in her first year of university and was elected president two years later. She was re-elected President for the 2010-2011 year, by a margin of one vote over teammate Brendan McKendy.
In May 2010, 2011, 2014 and 2015 she was a reader and scorekeeper at Reach for the Top Nationals held in Toronto and in 2024 at Reach for the Top Nationals held in Ottawa.
