London South Secondary School is a high school in London, Ontario. The team has been successful in recent years, finished in the top 10 in Ontario in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2011. In their playoffs, they went 0-5, though they advanced to the second round in 2008 after garnering the wild card spot.
2008
In 2008, South finished 6th in Ontario. That year, South managed to escape two near defeats. After the preliminary stage of the provincial tournament, they were tied with Sacred Heart in both record and points for. In typical Reach style, a 5 question face-off between the captains ended in a victory for South. After finishing with the exact same number of points for as Merivale after the first televised round, another Reach-travesty off-camera face-off between the captains ended with another win for South, after their captain won 3-2. They would go on to face the same opponent, Lisgar, in the second round, leaving viewers confused as to why they were watching the same game twice.
Quizbowl
South will be competing in the 2008 Toronto Winter Invitational, the first London-area team to play quizbowl, not counting Western Ontario's team, comprised completely of players from 2008 London Central.
