Georgia Academic Team Association (GATA) is the main governing body of quiz bowl in Georgia. It is the primary source of outreach in Georgia and headed by team coaches.

Every year, it hosts five tournaments: GATA Fall, GATA Winter, GATA Middle School State, JV State and Varsity State. All of these tournaments use NAQT questions and draw teams from all across the state.
