Michigan High School Quiz Bowl State Championship is a state championship in Michigan held by the Michigan State Honors College. It can be contrasted with the NAQT Michigan Championship but the same teams generally compete in both. Detroit Catholic Central has won it 16 times. Until 2011 or 2012, it ran on KMO questions, which MSU players edited to make them more factually accurate. Due to the efforts of the MSU Academic Competition Club, the tournament now runs on HSAPQ questions in a tossup/single-part bonus format
