Tournament Events

Harrison's Lyn Schneider was named "Coach of the Year." Fuhe Xu and Ariel Schneider of the Harrison team were both put into the NAC Hall of Fame after the tournament.

Former AAC operator and NAC staffer Brooks Sanders was named MVP of the "coaches' game" in Washington, as he travelled with Ithaca to the tournament.

South Brunswick was named "Rookie of the Year," while Rye Country Day was named "Comeback Team of the Year" for going from 95th in 2006 to 26th in 2007.

The "Who Wants to Be a Game Show Host?" contest was held in San Antonio and DC, with competing students as moderators and coaches as players.

"Translate the Spanish sentence, Usted es mas loco que una cabra."

"Name three schools that have won the 64-team NCAA basketball tournament more than once."

"In 1892, which composer became director of the National Conservatory of Music in New York?"

"The escape velocity of a planet is the speed an object needs to attain to leave the gravitational pull of the planet. One commonly used equation for escape velocity is written with three letters representing three quantities. Name the three quantities required in this formula."

"As a book reviewer for a conservative periodical, she gave thumbs down to his debut work, Uncle Tom's Children.
