Shanghai American-Pudong is one of the two campuses of the Shanghai American School (SAS). SAS Pudong was formerly coached by James Goruk but is now coached by Bret Drury. SAS Pudong fields high school teams and middle school teams. Shanghai American-Pudong has sent teams to the local Concordia Shanghai Invitational since 2012 and to the Brent Invitational in Manila since 2015. The school's A team won the 2016 Brent Invitational. SAS Pudong won the 2015 IHBB Shanghai Championships and hosted the 2016 IHBB Shanghai Winter History Bee and Bowl.
