A national championship is an event purporting to award a title to the best quizbowl team in a particular country (though some national championships have teams from multiple countries) for a particular type of competitor. Though there are championships for all levels of play, this page is for collegiate championships only.

*While the Top Community College continued to be recognized at ICT since the launch of the CCCT in 2009, NAQT's website says the ICT team is "not considered a national champion" by NAQT. As of the 2015, recognition of the Top Community College at the ICT will no longer occur.

**A sequel to CULT, COLT, was run as Chicago Open Trash in 2011, but was not billed as a national championship.
