Bob Brown served as the coach of the Richland Quiz Bowl team along with Roger Stephens until his death in the winter of 2012 [1]. He had led the team to a number of MSHSAA State championships since the beginning of his coaching tenure at Richland, as well as two NAQT Missouri Qualifier Small School titles. He was also the founder and question writer for The Question Bank question provider, and had grown to prefer short pyramidal questions (3-4 lines) over the 1-2 line speedchecks his company was previously known for, partially as a result of his perusal of the Missouri Academic Competition Message Board.
