The server originally started out as a hangout place for Joshua Li and his friends (mostly) from Georgia. Known for originally having a Fruit Loops logo, the server soon rose to prominence through its hosting of casual scrimmages and games, with small cash prizes and Discord Nitro giveaways. In March of 2023, ROT Invitational I was launched, but was soon cancelled due to issues. The second iteration of the ROT Invitational, the ROT league, was launched in June of 2023.
