Jeff Hoppes is the history subject editor for NAQT. He also serves as NAQT's communications director and their liaison to the hsquizbowl.org forums. Jeff is an unofficial candidate for Nicest Guy in Quizbowl.

Jeff is frequently cited as the most dominant player on a reasonably well-represented category (in Jeff's case, geography), and a strong history player to boot. These strengths helped him lead teams to six NAQT titles in seven years of attending.

Jeff played on a Princeton A team that won the undergraduate title at the 2002 ICT with Larissa Kelly, Lenny Kostovetsky and Jacob Mikanowski.

Jeff played on a Berkeley team that took 1st place at the 2003 ACF Nationals with David Farris, Jon Pennington and Seth Teitler.

Most recently, Jeff played on a Berkeley team that took 1st place at the 2006 ICT with David Farris, Paul Lujan and Brendan Shapiro.

Tournament editing and writing
