Participating teams are situated further away from major metropolitan areas and generally do not participate in quizbowl. Questions are supplied by Great Auk/Academic Hallmarks, which are known to be of bad quality. Arizona Knowledge Bowl largely resembles other KB formats in that three teams play at the same time and it is tossup only.
