Darien High School (locally: /deɹiˈæn/ with stress on the last second syllable) is a public high school in Connecticut. Darien is in the same district as Middlesex Middle School. It won the inaugural NAQT Connecticut State Championship tournament in 2014.
2013-2014
The team was founded by Sarah Lehan and Sarishka Desai, who had played at Middlesex Middle School and were then sophomores. The team, which also included over ten freshmen, placed 3rd at Yale FAcT, 2nd at the Connecticut Invitational, and won the NAQT Connecticut State Championship Tournament. Due to nobody having any idea how to run a club, the team did not attend nationals.
2014-2015
The team again placed 3rd at FAcT and 2nd at the Connecticut Invitational, in addition to a 7th place finish at Prison Bowl. The team once again won the NAQT Connecticut State Championship.
