Charlie Perkins played a semester or two for William and Mary, was Honaker's Captain in 2010, and since the 2015-2016 season has been the Head Coach at Honaker, guiding the team to two consecutive VHSL state titles in 2016 and 2017.
Also led a one-off unofficial Honaker team under the name of "Robert Zimmerman High School" at a 2010 NAREN mirror in Concord, NC.
