Oakton High School is located in Vienna in northern Virginia and is coached by Jackie Fernandez. Oakton does not participate in the invitational circuit but is active in both VHSL and It's Academic.
In VHSL, Oakton was part of the VHSL Northern Region until the 2014 VHSL Realignment. Between then and the 2018 VHSL Realignment, the school was part of VHSL Region 6A North. Starting with the 2017-18 season, Oakton will be part of VHSL Class 6 Region D.
Oakton placed second at the VHSL Northern Region tournament in 1999, 2004, and 2005. Oakton won the Conference 7 tournament in 2015, and was runner-up in 2014 and 2016.
