The 2006 Ocean Lakes Scholastic Bowl team consisted of senior and captain Raymond Lee, junior Kunle Demuren, junior Chris L., and sophomore Peter McDonald. Alternates were Kathryn Tipton and Jerry K. The team was coached by Regina Barrett.
HSNCT
At the 2006 HSNCT, Ocean Lakes went 5-5, placing 60th out of 128 teams.
Battle of the Brains
The Ocean Lakes team won the Battle of the Brains Southeastern District TV show, receiving a $4,000 scholarship courtesy of the Virginia lottery. Kunle Demuren was declared a Virginia All-Star and received a $100 cash prize for winning the All-Star challenge.
