The Aptakisic program has been in existence since the Illinois Elementary School Association instituted a State Series for scholastic bowl. They won their first state title in their first appearance at the state finals in Coach Love's first season as the head coach. Aptakisic plays in the Patriot Conference, and its students feed into Stevenson High School of Lincolnshire. Aptakisic students made a few tournament appearances as the "Berning Eagles" in 2017, where a parent supervised the team.
