Rappahannock County is a quiz bowl team that won the 2009 and 2015 VHSL State Championships and finished 3rd in the Small School Division at the 2009 HSNCT. Their main rival is George Mason High School in Falls Church, VA, although they have/had rivalries with many active A and AA size Virginia schools, including Cave Spring High School and Honaker High School.

  • VHSL Bull Run District: 9-6, 3rd place

Roster

The A-Team consisted of Senior Captain Tyler Crews, Senior Taylor Light, Senior Austin Burnett and Junior Malcolm Perry. Substitutes primarily included Steven Nelson and Joe Vickers. A few members on the team also play for Mountain Vista Governor's School, which draws students from Rappahannock County and many surrounding counties. Frequently, these teams include players from Fauquier High School and Culpeper County High School.

  • VHSL Group A State Champions
  • HSNCT: 3rd Place in the Small School Division (behind Ottawa Hills and Russell), and tied for 43rd place overall

  • EQUINE II: 6-3 (clinching a spot in the HSNCT as the highest placed small school team)
  • Cave Spring Invitational III: 7-1 (losing in the finals, clinching a spot at PACE NSC)
