Central High School is a high school in Wise, Virginia, a small town home to the University of Virginia's College at Wise-- Virginia's only 4-year public institution west of Montgomery County.

History

Central competes in the VHSL and SWATA circuits and, after years of undefeated conference play, defeated Maggie Walker to become the VHSL Class 2A State Champion. Central attended the 2016 NSC, where they finished 76th.

The following year, they finished the 2017 VHSL season as 2A State Runner-Up (to Maggie Walker), despite having their 50+ conference win streak broken during a regular season match against Gate City.
