High School
2010-2011
After spending time between the A and B teams, Carlo permanently joined the Seven Lakes A Team at Texas Invitational II, helping contribute to a T-8 finish at the 2011 HSNCT, and leading a Seven Lakes team without leading scorer Jiawei Li to a 14th place finish at the 2011 NSC. He then joined fellow Seven Lakes player Daniel Chapman and LASA players Benji Nguyen, Thomas Littrell, and Roger Cain on the Texas team that won the 2011 NASAT.
2011-2012
As the team's leading scorer, Carlo led Seven Lakes to its first state championship and a 9th place finish at the NSC. He was also the leading scorer for the Texas team that placed 5th at the 2012 NASAT. At the end of the year, he transferred to St. John's School.
2012-2013
Taking over as the leading scorer, Carlo led St. John's to victories at the NAQT portion of Texas Invitational IV and at TQBA State, earning his second state championship. On the national level, he led the St. John's team to a 4th place finish at the 2013 HSNCT, and was voted a member of the National A Team.
2013-2014
With all four members of the 2013 St. John's team returning, Carlo led the squad to state and national successes. He beat LASA multiple times over the course of the season, often shorthanded, and placed second at both the ACF portion of Texas Invitational V and TQBA State. Nationally, Carlo captained a St. John's team that finished 3rd at the 2014 NSC and 2nd at the 2014 HSNCT. Carlo also captained the Texas NASAT team which won the 2014 NASAT. In doing so, Carlo became the first player to have multiple NASAT titles (2011 and 2014).
College
As a freshman, Carlo was the leading scorer for Texas A&M's DII team at the 2015 ICT, and was recognized as a DII All-Star for being the second-leading scorer in the DII field. He was also the leading scorer for Texas A&M A at ACF Regionals South in 2015, helping them win the tournament.
