Since 2005, Centennial has also hosted an annual tournament each December, which is the largest in the DC metro area. Centennial's tournament used It's Academic-style speed check questions until 2010. In 2011, Chris Ray helped the school write and edit its own good quizbowl set, and in 2012 the school drew 66 teams in two divisions to compete on an NAQT A-set.
