Nicholas Polk is a retired player at the [[University of Chicago]]. In a former life, he was treasurer at the [[University of Southern California]]. He is presently pursuing a doctorate in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, specializing in the study of Semitic philology and religion in the ancient Levant.

Notable achievements--if they may be called such--include leading the Senior Classical League to victory in the 2007 USC Intramural Quizbowl Tournament and regrettably choosing not to be on the 2007 USC CBI team that eventually finished second at Nationals.
