It's a pretty harsh concept, accusing a tournament director of deliberately doing their job incorrectly so as to punish a team, and such accusations of unethical behavior should not be undertaken lightly. If you think this is common in your area, I suspect either your area has uniquely widespread ethical problems or the people making such accusations have an unjustifiedly pessimistic and accusatory view of humanity. Anyway, assuming that such cases really exist, sure, the term "screwjob" seems like an application of [https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=screwjob its ordinary usage in slang English], but I don't think it's "quizbowl lingo". Is this term attested? I don't think I've ever heard it used in a way specific to this meaning, and this whole page reads like a grudge. Jonah (talk) 19:17, 21 February 2021 (CST)

I've heard it a lot in my area. Its not a grudge against anyone because I can never say if it was an actual error or intentional in addition I often dont even know the full results until after the fact and nothing can be done about it, I just added a term I've heard numerous times.
