Link removal - possible page remake?
The forum post this page links to was recently edited by the poster to say that they don't the post to be linked from this wiki. Does this page need to be remade with that part scrubbed, or at least the link removed?

- Is the first sentence missing the word "want", i.e,. "they don't want the post to be linked from this wiki"? I'm going to assume so; a word seems to be missing and that's my best guess, but if my guess is wrong, the rest of this paragraph may be inapplicable, and I apologize and await correction. Anyway, that edit doesn't say "they don't [want] the post to be linked from this wiki" but rather that the link "seems unnecessary", which is a different statement. Regardless (i.e., even if "they don't want" is in fact accurate), I think it's important for a community resource to include information about people who have committed serious infractions within the community, enough for people (both inside and outside of the community) to understand the situation reasonably well and make informed decisions about what role (if any) those people should have in their organizations, events, personal lives, etc.
- I also find the new comment in the linked post curious. It's an edit made to a post that's nearly a year old, in a thread that hasn't been active for nearly as long. Mostly, I wonder how anyone was supposed to notice the edit or why anyone might be expected to take action based on it. On the other hand, obviously you became aware of the edit, so I suppose there is probably some discussion going on in places I don't see. Which is fine, but it certainly seems unusual to distribute a significant additional comment on a significant situation in such a low-visibility way, and to the extent the comment relates to the QBWiki, I would certainly prefer to hear directly from people who have comments or concerns.
