Metro-East Lutheran is a private school located in Edwardsville, Illinois drawing students from the St. Louis metropolitan area. The team competes in Class A, the "small school" division, of the Illinois High School Association's State Championship series. The Knights also competes in the Gateway Metro Conference & Metro East Quad League. The team has been a participant on WSIU's Hi-Q TV program.

Metro-East Lutheran most notably won the Class 1A Masonic State championship in 2023 behind All-Stater, Silas Curtis.
