Indiana University-Bloomington (IU) is the flagship campus of the Indiana University system and is located in Bloomington, Indiana.
History
The earliest records of IU's quiz bowl team date to around the year 2000. Led by Wesley Mathews, Indiana tied for 10th at the 2004 ICT.
A team was briefly formed in 2007 by Carlo Angiuli and Nick Matchen, former teammates at New Trier, and Luke Pacold, formerly of St. Ignatius. This incarnation of the team ended no later than the end of the 2008–2009 competition year.
In 2019, Justin Hawkins arrived from Maryland and set about building a new team from scratch. IU has since accumulated a strong team largely composed of PhD students, which secured the school's first top bracket finish at 2024 ACF Nationals.
